My First Treasury for 2011

The title is "I Want You, I Need You, Oh Baby, Oh Baby!" That's a line from the movie 10 Things I Hate About You, one I quote quite a lot :-) The first four items illustrate the title, and the rest of the items carry out the burgundy-and-grey theme. I hope you like it!

Tolkien Treasury

I created a new treasury last night, and it's quite possibly my favorite treasury I've ever created. It's 100% Lord of the Rings things! I call it "Souvenirs from Middle Earth" because it's the sort of things you might buy while on vacation... if you could vacation in Middle Earth. Here it is:

If you're a Tolkien fan, or generally a fantasy fan, there just might be something there you'd like to spend your Christmas gift money on :-)

Twist of Fate Treasury

I made a treasury today. I was supposed to be going to see Avatar, but Daniel protested taking his nap for so long that I ended up missing the movie. So instead I made this treasury, which I call Twist of Fate:

You can go see it here, and if you're an Etsy member, I'd love it if you commented on it!

I didn't actually plan to do a blue theme, but after choosing about half of these yarns, I realized I was being drawn almost exclusively to blues, either because of the blue characters in Avatar or because I was a bit blue about not going to see it today. Or maybe just because I love the color blue. Anyway, I think this is the prettiest treasury I've made yet.

Turkey Treasury

I got a treasury today! I call it Turkey Tots, and it's full of turkey-themed wearables for kids. Hope you like it! Remember, it'll only be available for viewing for a couple days, so check it out while there's still time.

Also, my Free Shipping offer will end tonight, so if you've been putting off taking advantage of that, don't wait much longer.

I'm in a Groovy Treasury

One of the members of the Busy Moms of Etsy team that I belong to made this cool treasury and included my new Aragorn mini-notebook in it.

I'm actually trying to come up with a better name/title for that notebook. Anyone have a good suggestion? I'm calling it "Aragorn at War" right now, but that's just sort of boring, I think. I thought about "End of an Age," but that sounded sort of depressing. Hmm. Maybe I should say something about the king returning? If you've got a better title for it, post it in my comments, please! If someone comes up with one I like, I might just reward them with a little surprise!

Ahoy, Matey!

I'm in a new treasury! Or rather, me piratey little sachet is. Many thanks to the ladies at TwoKnit for including it. Go check out the treasury -- it's full of piratical plunder!

Yup, I'm a Treasury Addict

Didn't take long, did it? I got my first treasury only five days ago, and already I've done another one. This one's called "My Heroes've Always Been Cowboys" -- can you guess what theme I might have gone with?

That title is very true of me, by the way. For as long as I can remember, I've loved cowboys. When I was little, I wanted to be a cowboy when I grew up. I used to pull out Mom and Dad's big atlas, turn to the two-page map of Texas, and figure out exactly where my spread should be. I can't remember a time while I didn't love western movies and TV shows. There's something special about the genre -- things seem more true, somehow. There's good and evil, right and wrong, and people in westerns know the difference between the two.

So this treasury is a tip of my Stetson to all my heroes, fictional and factual, who ever rode a horse or fired a six-shooter or kept the bad guys at bay. My heroes really have always been cowboys, and they still are today.

My First Treasury!

I just got my first treasury! It's called Write Here, Write Now, and is a collection of some of the awesome journals for sale on Etsy. Some of them have movie or literary themes, like Hamlet and Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, as you'd expect from me. And some of them are just pretty or groovy or eye-catching.

If you don't know what a treasury is, it's a selection of items that a specific Etsy member really likes and wants to show off to others. A lot of times they have themes, like a specific color or season or idea, or are a collection of different kinds of one thing, like my journal treasury.

I hope you'll check out my treasury -- I've waited a long time to get it, and I'm really proud of my picks! It's only available for three days, so go see it right now!
